During a week of memorials for our nation's fallen and former soldiers, East Hartford Congressman John B. Larson joined the Community Renewal Team, Inc. to dedicate a residence reserved for veterans marginalized by society.

Congressman John B. Larson announced Monday his push for federal legislation giving American workers and employers financial incentives to keep their skills economically competitive.

Larson, D-1st District, said in a media statement accompanying a copy of the letter, that Connecticut consumers must be protected from unjustified rate increases just so they can obtain quality, affordable health care coverage.

New federal legislation that passed the House of Representatives this month would help ease that squeeze by encouraging lending to small businesses and offering them tax incentives to spur economic growth, said U.S. Rep. John Larson, D-District, which includes Bristol, Southington, Berlin, Newington, Wethersfield and Rocky Hill.
